Get started with your enrolment

This timeline will help guide you through the process of enrolling your child in Foundation for the 2027 school year. Our school zone is available on findmyschool.vic.gov.au which hosts the most up-to-date information on school zones in Victoria. Families outside our zone are welcome to apply and applications will be considered in line with the Department of Education’s Placement Policy.

When enrolling your child in a Victorian government school for the first time, you’ll need to provide certain documents with your enrolment form. To ensure a smoother process, we suggest collecting these documents before you begin the application:

  • Proof of identity and date of birth (e.g., birth certificate or passport)
  • Immunisation History Statement
  • Your contact details
  • Emergency contact details
  • Health information (e.g., allergies or medical conditions)
  • Any legal orders related to your child’s welfare

Appeals

  • Written appeals from parents/carers are to be lodged with schools by 28 August 2026.
  • Schools notify parents and carers in writing of the outcome of appeals by 11 September 2026.

FAQs

If you have any questions not answered here, please feel free to contact us.

What age does my child need to be to start school?

Your child must turn 5 years old by April 30 of the year they begin primary school.

Once you’ve submitted your application, you can contact our school office to inquire about its status or receive updates on the processing.

Foundation enrolment applications submitted after the deadline will be processed as they are received in line with the Department of Education’s Placement Policy.

Yes, you can apply for enrolment even if you live outside our designated school zone. However, placement is subject to availability.

Under the Department of Education’s policy, schools receive funding to deliver the standard Victorian Curriculum. This ensures all students can access core learning programs at no cost to you. However, government funding only covers the basics. Many resources and programs that enrich school life are not covered. To provide high-quality resources, engaging programs and a richer learning environment, we rely on the generous support of our families through voluntary financial contributions. Payment details for the coming school year are shared at the end of Term 4 each year. Contributions can be made through Compass. You can access the Department of Education’s Parent Payments Policy here.

You can download an example of our parent payments letter here. Please note that fees may vary depending on the year level and the learning activities planned for that year.

We understand that some families may find it difficult to contribute. If that’s the case, we encourage you to contact us. Support options include Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF), State Schools Relief (SSR) and Flexible payment plans. Please contact our Business Manager, Johann Hudson, on (03) 9555 1235 for a confidential discussion.
