Supporting Your Child
We use School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) alongside other proven strategies to create a safe, supportive and inclusive school community. Here’s what this looks like for your child:
- Clear school values and behaviour expectations
- Anti-bullying programs and restorative practices
- Positive reinforcement: praise, certificates, tokens
- Predictable routines to support engagement
- Safe, supervised classrooms and play spaces
- Inclusive school-wide activities and events
A positive school environment helps every student feel respected, understand boundaries, develop positive peer relationships and focus on learning.

Our RTI Approach to Learning Support
We use the Response to Intervention (RTI) model to make sure every student gets the right support at the right time. RTI helps us identify students who may be finding learning more difficult and ensures they receive targeted help—especially in areas like reading, writing and numeracy.
RTI is a multi-tiered approach that allows us to provide support that matches each student’s needs:
- Tier 1 – High-Quality Classroom Teaching: All students benefit from evidence-based teaching in every classroom. Teachers check in regularly on each child’s progress to make sure they’re on track.
- Tier 2 – Targeted Small Group Support: If a student needs some extra help, we provide small group sessions to reinforce key skills and support their learning alongside the regular classroom program.
- Tier 3 – Intensive Individual Support: For students who require more personalised support, we offer one-on-one intervention using research-based strategies. This is especially helpful for students with specific learning difficulties.
Together, we ensure every student feels seen, supported and set up to succeed.
